Magnetic Level Gauges

The magnetic level gauge is constructed from a vertical stand pipe made from a non magnetic material.

The side mounted types are connected to the vessel at the top and bottom creating the principle of connected vessels.

Inside the stand pipe a float containing a permanent magnet moves up and down following the change of liquid level.

On the outside of the stand pipe a transparent rail with indicator flaps are mounted. The small flaps hold small permanent magnets. The flaps are bi-colour with colours red and white. When the float passes the flaps, the flaps rotate 180° by the magnetic field in the float. The indicator shows the red colour up to the liquid level.

Glass Level Gauges

AEEC offers a wide variety of liquid level gauges to fit your need.

Our level gauges can be equipped with transparent or reflex glass.

using the reflex glass, the day light is refracted in the prism when liquid is present and the liquid level is

presented as a dark or black column

The liquid level indication can be improved for difficult to see liquids by applying an Illuminator.

Level Transmitters

The Level Transmitter consists of the following main parts: Float with magnet, measuring tube, and mounting flange with electronics.

The measuring tube which is mounted on the top of the tank incorporates a number of resistors and reed switches.

A float with a permanent ring magnet moves on the outside of the measuring tube. When the level changes, the magnet in the float will activate a reed switch which will connect a number of resistors, giving an ohmic value corresponding to the level.

In the connection head a R/I transmitter is mounted and converts the signal into a standard 4 – 20 mA.

Level Switches

The level switch is designed to control the liquid level in vessels containing corrosive or non-corrosive liquids.

The float switch can be mounted horizontally or vertically, but horizontal mounting is the most common. The float lever carries a permanent magnet which is opposed by a similar magnet mounted in the switch housing. The magnets having the same pole directed toward each other are separated by a non magnetic diaphragm. The glandless construction offers excellent sealing.
